What everyone asks
Is there a lifeguard?
At Riazor and Orzán, from June to September, daytime hours only. There's none out of season, and Orzán with a swell running is no beach to take lightly.
Can you park nearby?
Not in August. The rest of the year there's paid parking along the promenade. The bus reaches both beaches every ten minutes.
How warm is the water?
Between 13 and 19 degrees depending on the month. It's the north Atlantic: fine in July, and a slow wade in May.
Can you bring a dog?
Not on the main beaches in season. There's a signposted dog beach, and there it's fine all year round.
